100 years later – A visit to the Drawing rooms

As yesterday marked 100 years since the Titanic first floated on water, I went over to the Drawing Rooms to have a look around. It was my second visit there and I always find it sad that they are just left to rot. Yes there are rumours of a conversion to a hotel, but this doesn’t look likely to happen any time soon. A refurbishment along the lines of the Merchant Hotel would be stunning and would surely attract a lot of business.
Its a long enough walk to get over to the Titanic Quarter, and when you get there, there isn’t a lot to do. I wonder if as a tourist would I be disappointed? I look forward to the Titanic signature project opening next year for the big anniversary but I just hope there is a full festival going on in the area to make the journey there worth it.
